Nicholas, Zinsner Named to PING All-Region Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Two members of the Yale men's golf team were named to the 2019 Division I PING All-Region Team for the Northeast. Senior captain James Nicholas and sophomore Teddy Zinsner earned all-region honors from the Golf Coaches Association of America. Both players capped off a successful regular season by qualifying to play in 2019 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships as individuals at the Stanford Regional.

At the Ivy League Championship, the pair of Bulldogs earned first team All-Ivy accolades after Nicholas bested the 40-player field to finish as medalist while Zinsner tied for third overall. Nicholas, the two-time Ivy League Player of the Year, captured the individual title at three other events this season while Zinsner finished in the top 10 at five regular season tournaments. This is the second straight season Nicholas was named a PING all-region selection after landing a spot on the team in 2018.
