  • Evan Smith Named 2019-20 Captain

    Evan and Mitchell Smith, the first twins to skate together for the Yale Men’s Hockey Team, have been teammates and often line mates since the two forwards started organized play. Their current teammates have added a new twist to the twins’ story by voting Evan the captain of the 2019-20 team.
  • Snively Named Team MVP at Banquet

    The Bulldogs held their 2018-19 season-ending banquet tonight at the Schley Room inside Ingalls Rink and seven Yale Hockey Association Awards were handed out while there was also time to honor the class of 2019.
  • Yale To Host 2021 NCAA Hockey Regional

    The NCAA announced today that Yale and Sacred Heart University will co-host the 2021 NCAA Men’s Hockey East Regional at Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena, the sixth such event awarded to the New Haven school.
  • Bulldogs To Play in Connecticut Ice

    SNY announced its plans for a first-of-its-kind, weekend hockey festival that includes the Yale Men’s Hockey Team called Connecticut Ice during a press conference today at Webster Bank Arena. The inaugural three-day festival celebrating youth and amateur hockey in the Nutmeg State takes place Jan. 24-26, 2020, at Webster Bank Arena.
  • Snively Named 1st Team All-ECAC

    Joe Snively, the only player in the long history of Yale men’s hockey to lead the Bulldogs in points all four seasons, has earned first-team All-ECAC Hockey status.

    Clarkson used three power-play goals to win game two of the ECAC Quarterfinal best-of-three series, 5-2, and put an end to Yale’s season.

    Yale spotted one of the hottest college hockey teams in the country an early lead and could not recover. Game one of the best-of-three ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series against No. 11 Clarkson went to the home team, 3-1, and the Bulldogs must win Saturday night to keep their season alive.

    The Yale hockey team travels to Potsdam, N.Y., this weekend for a best-of-three, quarterfinal series against Clarkson that begins Friday night at 7.   • Bulldogs Sweep Series with 4-0 Win

    Snively, St. Ivany and Welsh has a nice ring to it, like a name for a business comprised of college teammates. Those three names were all business tonight, especially on the power play. Joe Snively, Jack St. Ivany and Tyler Welsh each had a goal and multiple points as Yale closed out Rensselaer in a best-of-3 ECAC Hockey Playoff series. The Bulldogs blanked the Engineers 4-0 and swept the series in two games.

  • Princeton, No. 5 Quinnipiac at Ingalls This Weekend

    Yale ends the regular season this weekend by hosting Princeton and No. 5 Quinnipiac at Ingalls Rink with an opportunity for major accomplishments. The Bulldogs, who enter the weekend in 5th place but can finish anywhere from 1st to 7th, can earn a first-round conference playoff bye if they are among the top four. The Elis (13-11-3, 11-8-1 ECAC), host the Tigers on Friday before the Bobcats come to the Whale Saturday (game sold out). Both games are 7 p.m. faceoffs airing live on ESPN+ and on Stretch Internet (international).
  • Crimson Takes 3-0 Game at Boston

    Sam Tucker stopped 43 shots but No. 15 Harvard scored on 2 of its 5 power plays on the way to a 3-0 win over Yale in ECAC Hockey play at Bright-Landry Center.
  • Elis Fall 2-0 at Dartmouth

    Corbin Kaczperski stopped 24 of 26 shots but got no support at the other end of the rink in a 2-0 loss to Dartmouth at Thompson Arena that put the Bulldogs in a tie for third place with Clarkson at 23 points.
  • DeMontis, Hall Earn ECAC Honors

    Yale swept Colgate and Cornell last weekend at Ingalls Rink to move into third place in the men’s hockey conference standings with two regular-season weekends remaining. Two of the key contributors to the success, junior Robbie DeMontis and first-year Curtis Hall, earned ECAC Hockey honors for their performances.

  • Snively’s 3 Points Lift Yale to 4-3 Win

    Joe Snively has had two big games against Yale’s travel partner this season. In the season-opener, the senior forward hit the net twice, including 14 seconds into the contest. Tonight, he tallied two goals and handed out an assist in a 4-3 win over the Bears that got the Bulldogs to within a point of first place in the ECAC Hockey standings.
