FOGO Helped Yale Beat Penn State

PRINCETON, N.J. – Yale's TD Ierlan, who broke three Division I records last year playing for Albany, earned his first Ivy League Lacrosse Player of the Week honors after having a huge performance in the 14-13 win over No. 2 Penn State last Saturday.

Ierlan, a junior who won 25 of 31 face-offs while scooping up 22 ground balls and scoring a goal against the Nittany Lions, established new single-season NCAA records in 2018 for win percentage, wins and ground balls. The USILA also selected him for its Team of the Week.

He has clearly picked up where he left off last spring and currently leads the nation with a .768 face-off win percentage.

Ierlan and the No. 4 Elis host UMass Saturday at 1 p.m. in a rematch of the 2018 NCAA Tournament first-round matchup at Reese Stadium.
