Bulldogs Host Dartmouth Saturday At 3 p.m.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Two of the top scoring teams in the Ivy League will meet on Saturday at Reese Stadium. Yale and Dartmouth have combined for 33 goals so far this season. Kickoff is slated for 3 p.m.

The difference is in how the goals have come. Yale has had 10 different players score, and no one has hit the back of the net more than four times. The Big Green has relied primarily on Lucky Mkosana, who has seven of the team's 16 goals.

Regardless, both teams have played very well recently. The Bulldogs (5-4-1, 1-0 Ivy) are coming off an impressive 1-0 victory over Harvard last Saturday. Chris Dennen scored the only goal of the game midway through the first half. Goalkeeper Bobby Thalman made eight saves to post the shutout and was named the Ivy League Player of the Week. Yale has won two of its last three games, and the only loss was a 1-0 double overtime decision to UConn, which is ranked first in the nation.

The Big Green (4-3-2, 1-0 Ivy) has won three straight by a combined score of 8-2. Dartmouth opened Ivy play with a 4-1 victory over Princeton last Saturday and then blanked Vermont 2-0 on Tuesday.

Yale leads the all-time series 37-31-7, but the Big Green has won the last three, including a 3-1 victory in Hanover, N.H., last year.
