2011-12: Took a leave of absence from the team for personal reasons midway through the season. Played in the first 18 games… Scored 10 points in the home win over Holy Cross… Made the first start of his career in the opener against Central Connecticut.

2010-11: Appeared in 25 games off the bench... Shot .923 (12-of-13) from the free throw line... Had seven points, including a clutch three-pointer in overtime, in the home victory over Dartmouth... First career basket was a three-pointer in the season opener against

Before Yale: Second leading scorer in Cromwell High School history with more than 1,500 career points… Three-time first team all-state selection… McDonald’s All-America nominee as a senior… 2009 Shoreline Conference Player of the Year… Earned first team all-conference honors three times… Leading scorer on 2009 Connecticut Class S state championship team… Twice named the most valuable player of the Liberty Bank Tournament… Two-time Hartford Courant “Fab Fifteen” selection… Named first All-Area three times by the Middletown Press… 2008 Eastern Invitational Basketball Camp MVP… Played for the Connecticut Basketball Club AAU program.

Personal: Played in the high school gymnasium named for his grandfather, Jake Salafia, one of the most successful boys’ high school basketball coaches in Connecticut history, who won seven state championships… Son of Steve and Trish Salafia.
