2011-12: Appeared in 17 games off the bench... Played a season-high 19 minutes in the CIT Tournament game against Fairfield… Scored seven points in 11 minutes against Quinnipiac… Missed four games with an injury early in the season.
Off the Court:
- Presented with the "For the Love of Serving Others Award" for community service work by the Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House, a United Methodist Community Center whose mission is to improve the quality of life for residents of all ages by providing early childhood development services, comprehensive youth services, individual and family support services, services to older adults, and housing economic development services which will help move individuals and families out of poverty
- Co-founder of #TeamSober, a campus wide social movement promoting abstinence from alcohol and other harmful drugs for individuals under 18, as well as the consumption of alcohol in moderation for those 21 and over. #TeamSober has over 50 members and has spread to other Ivy league campuses such as Columbia, Harvard, and Dartmouth
- One of eight founding fathers of Beta Upsilon Chi (BYX), Yale''s sole Christian fraternity; BYX is a lifelong brotherhood of committed Christian men seeking the bonds of brotherhood and unity in Christ through the avenue of a social fraternity on a college campus; Since its founding in the spring of 2013, BYX has grown to over 25 members.
Before Yale: Suburban West Conference Player of the Year as a senior at Oakville High School… Averaged 16.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.2 assists… Four-year starter… 1,000-point scorer… Three-time all-conference selection… Helped lead Oakville to three conference championships and second place finish in the state tournament in his junior year… Played with the St. Louis Eagles and TeamRameyBasketball AAU teams… AAU teammates included Florida’s Brad Beal, Butler’s Roosevelt Jones, Wisconsin Milwaukee’s Shaquille Boga and Kansas’s Ben McClemore as well as Yale classmate Will Childs-Klein.
