Henri LaLiberte joined the Yale coaching staff in 2021 as a volunteer and in was promoted to a full-time assistant in August 2023. He works to support team logistics, domestic recruiting, coxswain development, in addition to coaching the team's lower boats.

Before arriving at Yale, LaLiberte coxed the US Men's Eight to fourth place at the 2018 World University Rowing Championships in Shanghai, China. He has also spent time coaching youth and masters rowing at the Duluth Rowing Club in Duluth, Minn, where he originally learned to row during high school.
In the summer of 2023, LaLiberte was selected as an assistant coach for the United States Men's Senior National Team to work with the Men's Eight alongside former Yale head coach, Steve Gladstone. LaLiberte was the youngest coach on the U.S. team and supported the selection, equipment, and logistics leading up to the World Championships in Belgrade, Serbia. The Men's Eight finished sixth in a field of 10 competing countries.

LaLiberte graduated from Purdue University in 2020 with a degree in Organizational and Strategic Management. He spent four years coxing the top men's eight on the Purdue rowing team and served as team President his senior year.
