Yale

Marten Martensson joined the Yale coaching staff in 2017 as a volunteer and then became an official part of the staff in 2019.
 
Martensson had a hand in the Bulldogs’ IRA National Championships in 2018 and 2019.  In 2019, he coached the fifth and sixth varsity to undefeated seasons and gold medals at Eastern Sprints.
 
Before coming to Yale, Martensson assisted the U23 Men at the New York Athletic Club. He helped coach that group to overall team winners at the Club National Championships and several podium finishes, including two gold medals at Canadian Henley.  His other U23 experience was with the Vesper Boat Club in Philadelphia where he assisted with the heavyweight men, who were silver medalists in the 8+ at Club Nationals.
 
Martensson graduated from Marist College in 2017 after four years on the varsity crew team. While he rowed collegiately, he coached in the Norwalk River Rowing Association.
