Biography
2019-20 (Junior): Spring racing season canceled.
2018-19 (Sophomore): Competed in the 6th varsity 8+ at Eastern Sprints winning gold.
2017-18 (First Year): Competed in the 5V and 6V boats.
Before Yale: Cross country running for 6 years - team captain, 3x state champion (team), 3x varsity letter winner….Cross country skiing for 3 years - team captain, state runner-up and third place (team), all-section, all-conference, 3x varsity letter winner….Track and field for 3 years: 3x varsity winner.
Personal: Graduated from Wayzata High School in Minnesota….Son of Brian and Susan Urke….Sisters Sarah competed for U.S. 2009 National Synchronized Swim Team…. Sister Lauren played soccer at Harvard for the three-time Ivy League Champions….Sister Amanda competes for Stanford Varsity Synchronized swim team….Twin brother Matthew plays club baseball and basketball at Duke University….Enjoys endurance sports, computer science, alpine skiing, government, and hiking.
