2010-11 (Senior): Elected captain by his teammates… Rowed in the 2V that won against Brown, Columbia and Penn… Rowed two-seat in the 1V that finished seventh at Eastern Sprints and stroked the 1V at Harvard-Yale and IRA’s.

2009-10 (Junior): Rowed in the 1V that won the Olympic Axe, Blackwell Cup and Carnegie Cup.

2008-09 (Sophomore): Rowed six-seat in the varsity eight.

2006-07 (Freshman): Rowed six-seat in the 1F that finished fifth at Eastern Sprints.

National Team: Rowed bow seat of the world champion 2005 U.S. Junior National Team eight… Member of the 2010 U23 National Team.

Before Yale: Captain of the crew team senior year at St. Ignatius… Won three state titles, two national titles and the Princess Elizabeth Challenge Cup at Henley Royal Regatta.

Personal: Member of Jonathan Edwards College… Economics major… Goes by the nickname ''3 Machine'' for his basketball prowess... His father, Brian Johnson, rowed on the Harvard crew team.
