Biography
Notes: Finished third on Yale's career list for GAA (2.53) and SP (.911).
2019-20: Three-time ECAC Hockey Goalie of Week... December ECAC Hockey Goalie of Month... Stopped 62 of 63 in a road sweep of RPI and Union... Had 26-save shutout on road vs. Dutchmen and then 21-save blanking at home... Started 29 of the 32 games... Stopped 64 of 68 shots in playoff series win at home... Had .903 save percentage and 2.77 goals against... ECAC All-Academic Team.
2018-19: Posted a career-best 46 saves at Quinnipiac on Feb. 8… Recorded first, career shutout against Colgate on Feb. 15… Finished with an 8-5-2 record in 16 season starts (.600)… Made a career high 374 saves for a .908 save percentage... ECAC All-Academic Team.
2017-18: Posted a .933 save percentage, good for fifth in the entire nation, in 12 games played... Stopped 34 shots in his first-career start against RPI on Dec. 01... Eared his first-career victory with a 31 save performance against New Hampshire on Dec. 30... Stopped 30 or more shots five times throughout the season... ECAC All-Academic Team.
2016-17: Served as a backup but did not see any regular season action... Played one frame of exhibition game against Ottawa and stopped five of six shots in third period... ECAC All-Academic Team.
Before Yale: Had a 1.98 GAA and a .912 SP (25-6-2) for NAHL Lone Star Brahmas in Dallas, Texas in 2015-16. Was two-time Player of the Week for 2016 NAHL South. Played two games for the USA NTDP and was a 2015 Muskegon Lumberjacks (USHL) draft pick. Had a 1.89 GAA and .924 SP (30-9-0) in 2014-15 for AAA Belle Tire and was honor roll all four years and suma cum laude at Saint Clair High School.
Personal: Corbin Jeffrey Kaczperski (Kaz-purr-ski) is the son of Dawn and Jeff Kaczperski... Has coached hockey.
Note: Seven 2015-16 Lone Star teammates are Division I players. Was introduced to the sport by former Detroit Red Wing Shawn Burr. Credits his making AAA team by helmet design (half purple), and getting noticed by a coach who would later become his full time goalie coach. Credits his current success to his life coach, mentor, and best friend Darin Grabowski.
