Alec Dambach joined the Yale men’s lacrosse coaching staff in September of 2021 as the director of men's lacrosse operations and was promoted to assistant coach in August 2024.
Prior to Yale, Dambach was a member of the Chestnut Hill College men’s lacrosse coaching staff since 2017, after a stellar collegiate career in the Scarlet and Gold. A two-year captain, two-time Most Valuable Player (MVP), two-time All-East Coast Conference (ECC) performer, and recipient of the Chestnut Hill College Athletic Director’s Award (2016-2017), Dambach ranks among the program’s top-10 all-time in 11 categories including ground balls (4th, 127), goals (2nd, 89), points (2nd, 170), and assists (1st, 81).
Academically, Dambach collected a range of scholarly accolades. He was a six-time member of the Chestnut Hill College Dean’s List and Athletic Academic Honor Rolls (Fall ’14, Spring ’15, Fall ’15, Spring ’15, Fall ’16, Spring ’17), a three-time member of the ECC Commissioner’s Honor Roll (2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017), as well as, a two-time recipient of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement Award (2015-2016, 2016-2017), and a member of the 2016 Philadelphia Inquirer Men’s Lacrosse Academic All-Area Team.
Dambach finished his collegiate career as a USILA/Nike Division II Scholar All-American, earning honors in 2017.
