At Chaminade:  Ranked No. 75 on Inside Lacrosse''s 2011 Men''s Top 100 Freshmen…  Member of the Long Island Under Armour team that won the 2010 Under Armour Underclassmen games… Tried out for the United States U19 Team… Played lacrosse and football… Two-time all-league midfielder… Played on 2011 league championship squad… Cornerback and running back for football team.

Personal: Shane James Thornton is the son of Kathleen and Timothy Thornton… Brother, Timmy, played lacrosse at Amherst.
