3 QUESTIONS FOR HADDOCK
Biggest soccer influences and why? Manuel Neuer and Lionel Messi. Neuer inspires me because he dared to change the game of goalkeeping through his sweeper-keeper style, bringing attention and appreciation to the position and the playing style. He also remains one of few goalkeepers to ever be nominated for the Ballon D’or. Messi inspires me because, despite the immense pressure he has, he manages to prove people wrong and show that disadvantages can be overcome to achieve greatness.
Do you have an idol or hero? My father is my idol. One day, I hope to be as hardworking, smart, and as caring as he is. He is always ready to take on new challenges in life, no matter his age, and will never hesitate to step out of his comfort zone and pursue new learning opportunities.
Why Yale? Because I wanted to be challenged every single day. I also knew that the coaching staff was in pursuit of something big, and I wanted to be a part of that.
