3 QUESTIONS FOR HADDOCK

Biggest soccer influences and why? Andrea Pirlo and Ronaldinho because they were my earliest soccer idols and helped sculpt my love for soccer. Mats Hummels because he is my current soccer idol and embodies a balance of unbelievable soccer talent and work ethic with intellectual curiosity – something I aspire for in my own life.

Do you have an idol or hero? Neil Degrasse Tyson

Why Yale? Because it is an unbelievable institution that contains the intellectual curiosity driving personal and societal growth that I want to be a part of. Equally important, it has the athletic facilities and culture that can help me grow as a soccer player and to which I can contribute. The feel behind Yale is one of academic and personal progress – whether on the field or in the classroom I believe that the bulldog mindset attacks challenges in a unique way and aspires to better situations. I wanted nothing more than to be a part of this.
