3 QUESTIONS FOR EMERSON
Biggest soccer influences and why? "Would probably be my travel teammates. I have been with some of them since U9, and they have always pushed me further and further every year as a soccer player and a person. Some of my best friends are on that team and every practice, they motivate me."
Do you have an idol or hero? "I would say Rio Ferdinand is one of my biggest idols. Ever since I started playing center back, and being the Manchester United fan I am, he continued to catch my eye in every game I watched. Everything he does is world class, and is in my opinion one of the greatest defenders in history."
Why Yale? "Yale is everything I ask for in a college. The academics are second to none. Athletically, I have complete faith that Coach Stannard is turning the soccer program around for great things in the future, and I am thrilled to be able to be part of the start of it all."
