Biography
Before Yale: Two-time state runner up in the 100 yard breaststroke at Starrs Mills High School… Earned three state championships as part of 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays… First team all-state selection… Holder of four school records - 100 breaststroke, 200 IM, 200 medley relay (breaststroke leg), 400 freestyle relay (anchor)… Most Valuable Swimmer in 2018-19… Most points scored on team in 2018-18… Panther Athletic Booster Club Scholarship recipient… Swam for Swim Atlanta for one year and the Southern Crescent Aquatic Team for eight years… U.S. Open qualifier in the 100-yard breaststroke… Five-time record holder for Southern Crescent.
Personal: Worked with Alzheimer's patients at nursing home… Grandfather, Giles Threadgold, won a national collegiate hockey championship at Boston College in 1949… Later became a NCAA hockey referee and worked a number of Yale-Harvard games… Also was an NCAA football official and retrieved the coin from John F. Kennedy after the coin toss of an Army-Navy game.
