Prior to Yale, Beaulieu served as a volunteer assistant coach at Texas, helping the Longhorns to a pair of top-10 NCAA finishes. He spent two seasons at Texas and the Longhorns won a pair of Big 12 Championships. In his first season, UT placed sixth at the NCAA Championship and improved to a fifth-place finish in 2019. In each of his two seasons, Texas swept the Big 12 Swimmer, Diver and Newcomer of the Year awards.

Beaulieu joined UT’s program after spending the 2016-17 season as an assistant men’s and women’s coach at Connecticut College where he helped lead the women’s team to the first top-10 NCAA finish in school history and mentored 11 All-Americans. He also served as an assistant men’s and women’s coach at Caltech. During his tenure, the Beavers broke 21 school records and captured a women’s conference title for the first time in program history.
