Before Yale: Lettered all four years swimming on Joel Barlow High School swim team and captain senior year… Holds three individual records and three relay records and undefeated during the season of sophomore, junior and senior year… Selected as Outstanding Performer of the Conference for three straight years... Swam 10 years for Wilton YMCA Wahoos and was a three time recipient of: USA Scholastic All American, Connecticut Scholar Athlete, and YMCA All American… YMCA National champion in the 400 Free… Senior National qualifier.

Personal: Older brother, Brad, is captain of the varsity swim team at Washington and Lee University.
