Brandon DeBot joined the Yale men’s tennis staff as a volunteer assistant coach in January of 2020.
DeBot is a Yale Law School graduate and former standout at Dartmouth.
DeBot enjoyed a successful career at Dartmouth, helping transform the Big Green into a consistent, strong team in the conference. The Big Green went 58-31 overall in his tenure, including two 18-win seasons and three top 3 finishes in the Ivy League. DeBot was a mainstay in the singles and doubles lineups, highlighted by a 10-match singles winning streak in his first year and second team All-Ivy doubles honors his sophomore year, going 5-2 in conference play at the No. 1 slot.
While at Dartmouth, DeBot was highly impressive off the court as well, earning multiple prestigious awards for his academic achievements and public service. He was named a Truman Scholar in 2013, one of 62 students nationwide selected for commitment to public service, communication skills and strong academic record. He was also awarded the Barrett All-Around Achievement Cup, given by Dartmouth Athletics to the senior male who shows the greatest strength of character, leadership, scholarship and broad achievement.
Prior to enrolling at Yale Law School in 2017, DeBot spent time as a Tax Policy Fellow at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities and a Policy Advisor for the National Economic Council at the White House.
DeBot, a Stevens Point, Wisc., native, graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in government from Dartmouth in June 2014.
