Sebastian Vile

Sebastian Vile joined the Yale men’s tennis program as an assistant coach in July 2025.

During Vile’s first year on staff, the Bulldogs posted an impressive 2025–26 campaign that resulted in Yale earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament — the program’s first appearance on the national stage since 1977. Yale finished with 16 wins, its highest total since the 2016–17 season, and concluded the year ranked No. 45 in the ITA rankings.

Vile came to Yale after serving as a Graduate Assistant Coach for the University of Alabama men’s tennis team. He played an integral role in designing team practices, managing equipment logistics, and leading community outreach initiatives to enhance fan engagement and program visibility.

Vile is a former men’s tennis athlete who competed at both the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2021-2023) and the University of Minnesota (2018-2021). At Wisconsin, he was an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and was recognized for his energetic leadership, balancing rigorous athletic, academic, and social commitments. At Minnesota, Vile served as team captain, was a member of SAAC, and worked closely with coaches and support staff while providing ongoing performance feedback to support player development.
