2023-2024: Captain of the Men's track and field team. Opened up his season with a PR in the weight throw of 64' 9.75''... Placed first in Y-D-C in the weight throw... Achieved a double points finish at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships placing third in the Shot put and sixth in the weight throw... Opened up the Outdoor season with a win in the discus throw at UCF Knights Invite throwing 184'9''... Placed fourth in the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the discus throw... Qualified for the NCAA East First Round in the discus throw in which he placed 19th with a mark of 180' 3''.
2022-2023: Started his season with two first place finishes at the 2022 Yale season opener. Both his shot put and weight throw were better marks than the same competition the season before...Finished first in the shot put and second in the weight throw at the Yale-Dartmouth-Columbia tri-meet...placed second in the shot put and weight throw at the Harvard-Yale-Princeton tri-meet and the week after won the shot put competition at the Crimson Elite meet, also at Harvard...at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships placed second overall in the shot put with a new personal record and school record of 18.35m, and third overall in the weight throw with a new personal record and school record of 19.63m...In his outdoor opener, threw a personal record of 54.89m in the hammer throw at the Raleigh Relays...Won the discus competition in the UCONN Dog Fight...Won the discus competition at the Harvard/Yale vs. Oxford/Cambridge meet...Placed second in the discus at the UCONN Northeast Challenge...Set a new personal best and school record to win the Georgia Tech Invitational discus competition..At the Ivy League Outdoor Track & Field Championships won the discus title with a new personal record and school record of 59.65m. Also won bronze in the shot put competition...Was selected, based on a top-48 regional ranking, and competed at the NCAA East Preliminary Round competition...Was awarded Yale's Most Outstanding Thrower as well as the James Stack '61 Award at the end of year team banquet.
2021-2022: Opened up with a first-place finish at 2021 Yale Season Opener in shot put and second-place finish in weight throw…Finished first in both shot put and weight throw at Yale-Dartmouth-Columbia meet, setting a school record in shot put with a toss of 58’10.25”…Finished third in weight throw at Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invitational…Threw a No. 5 all-time Yale performance in weight throw at Giegengack Invitational, tossing a distance of 60’2.5”…Finished third in shot put at Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships…In outdoor, competed in shot put, discus and hammer throw at UConn Dog Fight Invitational, earning second, third and fourth respectively…Progressed to two personal records against Harvard, winning shot put with a No. 2 all-time throw at Yale and finishing third in hammer throw with a No. 12 all-time throw at Yale, throwing distances of 59’5” and 178’11” respectively…Improved his discus throw with a fifth-place finish at Crimson Tide Invitational, tossing a distance of 177’5”…Won shot put and discus at Yale Springtime Invitational, tossing distances of 53’6.5” and 178’11” respectively…Earned a large personal record and No. 2 all-time at Yale in discus at Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships, finishing third with a toss of 191’0”... Finished sixth in shot put at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships, tossing a distance of 53’4.5”…At NCAA East Preliminary Round finished 11th in discus with a toss of 183’4”, qualifying for NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships…Awarded as Yale’s Most Outstanding Thrower and earned an honorable mention from the USTFCCCA as part of its All-America announcement.
2020-21: No competition due to coronavirus pandemic.
Before Yale: 2x All State, 6x All Conference, 4x Sectional Champion, Team MVP Junior Year, hold 5 of the 6 throwing records at his high school (Including all varsity records) ... PR in shot put was 58’09” ... PR in discus was 187’11” ... Team was state champs sophomore year, 3x sectional champions ... Played football during the fall ... 2x all-conference at right guard and was voted offensive lineman of the year in conference senior year ... Academic all-state senior year ... Named to 4 different all-area teams between 2 varsity seasons.
Notes: In high school was very actively involved in a group called JKB, which he was accepted into by an application and interview process after being nominated by track and field coach ... Group focuses on instilling good morals into the younger generation and providing guidelines as to how to live a healthy lifestyle while being able to excel in academics and athletics at the same time ... At beginning of his time in the group, spent a week at Monmouth College in Monmouth, Ill., bonding with people from other schools nearby through different athletic and team-building games while learning useful life skills to become a better leader and mentor to those around him.
