Biography

Career: In her four seasons, started 124 games, including every game in her last three seasons, and amassed 120 hits… Two-time recipient of the Barbara Chou Leadership Award… Two-time NFCA All-American Scholar Athlete selection.
 
2020: Started all 15 games and led the team in batting (.367) and hits (18)… Team captain… Had two hits and knocked in three runs in win over Santa Clara… Went 3-for-4 with a run scored in the win over Chattanooga... Recipient of the team’s Most Valuable Player Award and Barbara Chou Leadership Award.

2019: One of only three players to start all 43… Second on team in stolen bases (8), third in runs scored (20) and fourth in hits (39)… Had eight multi-hit games, including one three-hit performance… Had a streak of 11 straight games where she reached base at least once… Her six sacrifice bunts tied for the second most in the Ivy League.

2018: One of only two players to start all 40 games... Led team with 42 hits and second in average at .296... Had 10 multiple hit games, including two with three hits... Ended the season on a five-game hitting streak... Recipient of the team's Barbara Chou Leadership Award.

2017: Started 26 games, the most of any freshman… Scored 11 runs… First career hit was a single vs. Indiana State… Had six multi-hit games, including a 3-for-5 performance in the first game against Cornell… Knocked in two runs in the win over Quinnipiac.

Before Yale: First team all-conference selection as a senior at Joe E Newsome High School… Had a career .351 batting average and a .939 fielding percentage at shortstop… All-county selection in 2014… Team co-captain as a senior… Helped Newsome to 2015 8A Florida state championship… Played for Florida 18U gold team, which won the 2014 Liga del Sur Tournament in Ecuador.

Personal: Valedictorian at Joe E Newsome High School… Spent a month volunteering at a hospital in La Paz, Bolivia… 2009 MLB Pitch, Hit and Run national champion… Daughter of Steve and Sheila Tarte… Older sister played softball at Emory University.
