Rachel Carlson

Rachel Carlson, who enjoyed an outstanding career at the University of Maine, joined the staff in 2020 as an assistant coach. She begins her second season with the Bulldogs in 2020-21.
 
Carlson, who served as a team captain at Maine, was a two-time All-America East selection, including earning first team recognition as a junior. As a senior, she started all 47 games, led the team in batting average (.312) and hits (49) and was the recipient of the team’s Outstanding Defensive Player and Jocelyn Kondrotas Hits Leader Award. In addition, she was selected to the America East All-Academic Team.
 
Carlson is a 2018 graduate of Maine with a B.S. in Kinesiology and Physical Education. She earned her M.S. in Exercise Science with a strength and conditioning concentration from the University of South Florida.
 
While studying at USF, Carlson served as an assistant coach for the 18U Team Tampa – Hernandez travel team and as a volunteer coach at Freedom High School.
