Biography

2018: Started 26 games in the outfield... Recipient of the team''s Andy Van Etten Award, which is bestowed upon the player or players who represents the ideals of Yale Softball that go beyond statistics.

2017: Started 30 games, mostly in the outfield… Made 16 starts in Ivy League play… Had six hits in the four-game series with Harvard… Handled 37 chances in the outfield without an error.

2016: Shared the team’s Most Improved Player Award… Started 32 games, mostly in centerfield… Her 11 runs scored tied for fifth on the team… Knocked in five runs… Had two hits and scored two runs in 9-0 victory at Penn.

2015: Appeared in 16 games, including five starts… Scored four runs… First hit came in her first career start, an RBI single against South Florida.

Off the Field:

  • Summer intern at Achilles International, a charity that aims to provide those with disabilities the opportunity to participate in athletics
  • Summer volunteer with a laboratory at New York University working hand-in-hand with doctors and researchers to make progress towards finding a cure for epilepsy
  • Volunteer coach for two summers at the Harlem RBI, a charitable baseball and softball program that seeks to coach unprivileged teens about their lives off the field using athletics as a lens

Before Yale: Batted .543 with six home runs and 22 RBI in 15 games as a senior at the Rye Country Day School… Named team MVP and selected to the Western New England Prep School Softball Association All Star team… Rye Country Day was the New York State Independent School Championship runner up in her junior and freshman seasons… Four-time all-league selection… Named one of MSG Varsity''s Top-10 Players To Watch… Team captain as a senior… Selected Ivy Prep All-League and New York Post All-NYC… Played travel softball with the Hudson Valley Hurricanes 18U Gold and the New Jersey Gators Gold.

Personal: Served as a volunteer coach for the Harlem RBI Organization… Volunteer researcher at NYU Epilepsy Lab… Also played squash at Rye Country Day, serving as team captain and receiving the Varsity Squash Coach''s Award… Father played baseball at Union College… Daughter of Nicole and Paul Ginsberg.
