Mary Farner

Mary Farner ‘16 joined Will Porter’s staff as a volunteer assistant coach in the July of 2021.
 
Farner rowed for Porter at Yale and was a part of two Ivy League championships and helped the Bulldogs to a seventh-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Championship. She sat in the No. 3 seat of the varsity four that won a gold medal at the Ivy League Championship and won the petite final at the NCAA Championship as a senior. She also won a gold medal with the third varsity eight at the 2015 Ivy League Championship. In addition, she excelled in the classroom, earning CRCA Scholar Athlete honors.
 
Farner, who earned a BS in computer science and mathematics at Yale, works as a Full Stack Developer for Milo Pets in New York where she contributes to the development of their web application. Prior to that, she was a Regional Director and Project Manager at Chelsea Piers in New York.
 
During her time at Yale, she was the recipient of a scholarship from the United States Air Force and following graduation spent time as a Civilian Computer Scientist at a USAF Research Lab in New York.
