Nina Demmerle ‘15 is in her first year as a member of Will Porter’s staff in 2016-17 season. Demmerle, the 2014-15 Yale captain, was a four-year member of the varsity eight. As a senior, she was a CRCA second team All-Region selection and earned second team All-Ivy honors after helping the Bulldogs to a second-place finish at the Ivy League Championship. In addition, she was the recipient of the team’s Jenny Kiesling Award.

In her junior year, she sat in the varsity eight that finished with a 9-2 record and rowed in the elite eight at the Henley Women’s Regatta and the Remenham Challenge Cup at the Royal Henley Regatta.

As a sophomore, she earned second team All-Ivy recognition, and in 2012 she was one of two freshmen that finished the season in the varsity eight.

In all, she rowed in three NCAA Championships during her time at Yale.
