HS Coach: Liz Trond
Major: Undeclared
Why Yale? "During my official visit last fall, I met a slam poet, a neuroscientist, and a world class fencer all in one room. In the days following, I realized that these amazing people were all accumulated at Yale for one reason: they are the best at what they do. I chose Yale, quite simply, because it is a place where people go to excel."
Quote: My coach once quoted Uta Hagen in an email that said: "We must overcome the notion that we must be regular. It robs us of the chance to be extraordinary."
Idol(s): Liz Trond because she has been influential in my growth both as a person and an athlete.
