Why Yale? “I originally started fencing because it was unlike anything and everything that I had tried in the past. It gave me the freedom to build off of my own unique style, all while teaching me to maintain discipline and control. Fencing has opened many doors for me and led me to incredible opportunities that I wouldn’t have received otherwise — Yale University being one of them. After visiting the campus and meeting the incredibly diverse, radiant, kind, welcoming, and full-of-potential community here at Yale, I immediately knew that this is where I envision myself for the next four years.”
