Khaled Soliman joined the Yale Fencing coaching staff as an assistant coach in Fall 2022. 
 
An Olympic fencer, Soliman represented Egypt on the national stage for 17 years. He was an Egyptian National Team member at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, competing in both the Foil and Épée events. 
 
As a coach, Soliman has mentored individuals who competed in the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, making him the only coach in Connecticut to have coached Olympians. His weapons expertise in the sport of fencing are Foil and Épée.
