Before coming to Yale, So competed for Twistars USA GymnasticsClub. In 2005, she was a Level 10 Junior Olympic NationalChampionship Qualifier, finishing 4th in the all-around with a37.675 (2nd on vault and floor) at the Junior Olympic Level 10Regional 5 National Championships. She finished 3rd in theall-around (1st on beam, 2nd on vault, and 4th on floor) atMichigan Level 10 State Championships. So was also all-aroundNational Champion at the Junior Olympic Level 9 Eastern NationalChampionships (1st on vault and floor and 3rd on beam), andall-around Regional Champion at the Junior Olympic Level 9 Region 5National Championships (Regional Champion on vault and bars and 2ndon floor and beam).

So graduated with High Honors from Okemos High School. She was amember of the National Honor Society, and received the President''sScholar and Michigan Competitive Scholar Award.
