Mackenzie Bruch began her stint as a volunteer goalie coach for Yale in October of 2021 and helped the Bulldogs in their best season ever.
The 2021-22 Yale team went 26-9-1 (16-5-1 ECAC) and made the program's first Frozen Four while setting the school record for shutouts (10) in a season. The Elis' top two goalies each had five blankings, which is the best for a Yale player in a campaign. Senior Gianna Meloni also broke the school record for goals against average.
In addition, she who was featured in USA Hockey Magazine, has worked numerous USA Hockey regional and national selection camps.Â
The former Bemidji State University goalie graduated in 2017 and returned for the 2017-18 season as Director of Hockey and Video Operations. She is also a head coach with Pro Crease Goaltending.Â
