Melissa Schweitzer joined the Yale staff as a volunteerassistant for the 2013 season.

Schweitzer played for Temple from 2008 through 2012, earningthird team All-Philadelphia Division I honors in 2012. She was anA-10 All-Rookie Honors Team selection in 2009.

Schweitzer just received her B.S. in kinesiology from Temple,where she was a three-time A-10 all-academic team selection and atwo-time IWLCA academic honor roll pick. She was a PhiladelphiaInquirer Academic All-Area team honoree in 2011. She was also onthe President’s honor roll from the fall of 2008 through thespring of 2012, and won a pair of awards in kinesiology -- theAggie Stegmuller Award and the Nate and Eva Garfinkel Award.

Schweitzer has been active as a club coach with Phantastix since2010, and also served as a coach at OJR Lacrosse Academy in 2012and coached summer camp at Berks County Lacrosse Club in 2008. Shehas extensive volunteer experience, including work with the Friendsof Jaclyn Foundation, Special Olympics, the Philly 6 Run, the ALSWalk, and the American Red Cross.
