Biography

Berggren was a steady contributor throughout her career. As a senior she appeared in 18 games off the bench. Her one point was an assist against Quinnipiac. As a junior all four of her points came in one-goal Ivy League victories. She scored the only goal of the game in a 1-0 victory at Dartmouth and added assists in a 3-2 win over Penn and a 1-0 victory over Brown. In 2003, she assisted on Laurel Karnes'' game-winning goal late in the second half against Colgate and also tallied an assist in the victory over Sacred Heart. Her first career goal came in her rookie year against Central Connecticut. Berggren was a two-time all-state selection at West High School. She led the team in scoring in both her sophomore and senior seasons and was the 2001 team most valuable player. In addition, she was a member of the Utah High School All-Star team in 2001 and played for the Utah ODP team for four years.
