Biography

Penelope Hansen is in her first season on the Yale Soccer Team roster.

Thanks to Team IMPACT, in October of 2021 the Bulldogs signed Penelope, a Seymour, Conn., native, who is wearing No. 30 on the sidelines of games at Reese Stadium.

Team IMPACT is an organization that matches children with severe chronic illnesses to college sports teams to combat the social isolation and emotional trauma they may face. Penelope, who has biliary atresia and had a liver transplant when she was three, was on campus with her family for an official "signing day."
