Tim Lasusa

Tim Lasusa joined the Yale Squash coaching staff in the fall of 2017.

A native of New York City, Lasusa began playing squash at four years old at the University Club in New York City and attended Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, where he played No. 1 and was a two-year captain.

Lasusa is a 2016 graduate of St. Lawrence University with a B.A in Art/Art History and a minor in Sports Studies and Exercise Science. At St Lawrence, Lasusa was an integral part of the varsity team. In 2015 he helped St. Lawrence reach its highest ranking ever (No. 1 in the country for part of the season) and become national finalists. In 2016 he was named captain and helped lead the team to a fourth-place finish in the national tournament.

After graduation, Lasusa began coaching at the Round Hill Club in Greenwich Conn, under Steve Scharff. He helped coach several of the top U.S. junior players in the country.

In addition to his coaching, Lasusa also competes on the PSA World Tour, and in 2017 was a US National Championship quarterfinalist. Lasusa has also spent summers as a coach for the Nicol Champions Academy, while playing and coaching at the US Squash Academy.

He currently lives in Old Lyme, Conn., and has a dog named Franklin.
