Monica Dornick joins the Yale women's swimming and diving team as a Volunteer Assistant Coach for the 2016-2017 season.  Dornick is a 2015 graduate of the Univeristy of California Los Angeles, where she was an accomplished Division I swimmer, earning NCAA All-American Status and securing two school records in relay events.  During her time at UCLA, Dornick was also a member of the Bruin Athletic Council.  

During the 2015-2016 season, Dornick was the Assistant Swim Coach at Marymount High School in Los Angeles.  She led the team to a new school record in teh 400-yard freestyle relay and one of the largest showings at the CIF Finals in the school's competitive history.  

Dornick also has experience coaching at the UCLA Swim Camp (2013-2014) and the Bulldog Swim Camp (2016) and is a certified Los Angeles County Ocean Lifeguard.

Dornick holds a B.A. in geography with a concentration in environmental studies.
