2009-2010: Won Yale’s Nellie Pratt Elliot Award, the most prestigious award given to a senior female student-athlete at Yale…First team CollegeSwimming.com Mid Major All-American… Awarded Swimmer of the Meet honors at the 2010 Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…200-yard breaststroke: Finished 12th at the NCAA Division I Championship Meet with a time of 2:09.85…First team All-Ivy…With at time of 2:09:37 at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships, she won the event and set the league, meet, pool and Yale records, while achieving her first NCAA A cut…Was undefeated in the event for the season…Fastest time up until the Ivy League Championships was 2:12.17 against Penn and Dartmouth…100-yard breaststroke: Finished 32nd at the NCAA Division I Championship Meet with a time of 1:02.11…First team All-Ivy…With a time of 1:00.66 at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships, won the event and set the league, meet, pool and Yale records, while achieving an NCAA B cut…Lost the event only once during the season, against Harvard and Princeton…Fastest time up until the Ivy League Championships was 1:02.47 against Penn and Dartmouth…200-yard IM: Finished 59th at the NCAA Division I Championship Meet with at time of 2:03.04…Finished third with a time of 2:01.43 at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships, earning her first NCAA B cut in the event…Won the event four times during the season with her fastest time prior to the Ivy League Championships coming against Navy at 2:05.64…200-yard medley relay: First team All-Ivy… Member of the team that took first at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…400-yard medley relay: Second team All-Ivy… Member of the team that took second at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships.

2008-2009: 200-yard breaststroke: First team All-Ivy…Set the league, meet, and Yale records, and achieved an NCAA B cut, with a time of 2:12.86 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…Set pool record at Yale with time of 2:15.96…Set pool record at UConn with time of 2:15.05…100-yard breaststroke: First team All-Ivy…Set the league, meet, and Yale records, and achieved an NCAA B cut, with a time of 1:02.05 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…200-yard IM: Finished fifth with a time of 2:02.82 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…Notes: Swam in five A finals for the Bulldogs at the Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships.

2007-2008: 200-yard breaststroke: Finished third with time of 2:15.68 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…100-yard breaststroke: Finished fifth with time of 1:04.15 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…200-yard IM: Finished 15th with time of 2:07.89 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships.

2006-2007: Part of the 400-yard medley relay team that set the Yale record with time of 3:43.83 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…200-yard breaststroke: Set Yale record and earned NCAA B cut with second-place finish of 2:15.89 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships…100-yard breaststroke: Finished fourth with time of 1:04.04 at Ivy League Swimming and Diving Championships.

Club Highlights: Swam for Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club, under Christa Krukiel and Jim Williams…Competed in four Junior Nationals championships, two US Open championships, and two Senior Nationals swim meets.

Before Yale: Four-year varsity swimmer for Richard Montgomery High School…Three-time County champion in the 100 breaststroke and competed on the winning 200 Medley Relay for four years…Also set records for the 100 breaststroke and 200 medley relay for Montgomery County…Earned MVP award her junior and senior years in high school…Three-time All-Gazette and All-County swimmer… Team captain her senior year…Most memorable swimming moment came in her senior season with the Richard Montgomery Rockets, when she led the squad to their second county championships…On their way to victory, she broke her first individual county record and she was a part of the county-record breaking 4x100 freestyle relay.

Personal: Member of Trumbull College and a political science major…Participated in the Student Government Association, serving as Class President for three years and as SGA President her senior year…Was also on the French Honor Society and National Honor Society…Enjoys talking on her phone, relaxing with friends, shopping, and spending time with her family…Daughter of Yong Sok and Mee Suk Kim... Brother, Ji-Heon, is a senior at Carnegie Mellon University.
