Lindsay Hung joined the Yale women’s tennis program as an assistant coach in January 2025.
In her first year at Yale, she immediately helped guide the Bulldogs to a standout season. The team posted 12 victories, including three Ivy League wins, went undefeated at home (7–0) inside Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, and captured the program’s first ECAC Indoor Championship title since 2012 with a 4–2 victory over Columbia. Under Hung’s guidance, Freshman Julia Werdiger earned Ivy League Rookie of the Year honors, marking the first time a Bulldog has received the award since 2018.
Before beginning her coaching career, Hung was a four-year standout at the University of Utah, where she primarily competed at No. 1 and No.2 singles. She helped lead the Utes to a Top-40 national ranking and was recognized as an ITA Scholar-Athlete and Pac-12 Honor Roll selection all four years. Hung then played her graduate season at Fordham University, where she captained the Rams to their first-ever Atlantic 10 Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance. Individually, she earned First Team All-Atlantic 10 honors in 2023 and finished with 14 singles victories, best on the squad.
Prior to Yale and immediately following her graduation from Fordham, Hung built valuable experience in the sports business industry. At Excel Sports Management, she supported the marketing team on athlete partnerships, and client activations across multiple sports. She then joined Madison Square Garden as a Coordinator in Global Partnerships, managing key sponsorship accounts and working cross-functionally to enhance partner engagement and drive measurable value for flagship brands.
