Don Gleason is in his second year as Yale volleyball assistantcoach.
In Gleason's first season, Yale became only the second team inIvy League history to finish a conference season at 14-0. Inaddition, five Bulldogs earned All-Ivy honors.
Before Yale, Gleason served as assistant volleyball coach atDivision III Medaille College (N.Y.) for both the men’s andwomen’s programs during the 2011-12 school year. AtMedaille, Gleason specialized in settertraining for both the men's and women'steams, as well as player recruitment for the women’steam.
“Don brings tremendous passion for volleyball andtechnical knowledge of the game,” Yale head coach ErinAppleman said. “He will be an valuable asset to ourteam.”
In addition, Gleason has worked with individual position playersas an assistant coach for two club teams in Upstate New York --Niagara Frontier Volleyball Club (Buffalo, N.Y.) and ParadigmVolleyball Club (Rochester, N.Y.).
Gleason earned his bachelor’s degree and master’sdegree in Industrial Engineering from the Rochester Institute ofTechnology. Gleason graduated with his master’s degreein 2011, and was the coach and captain of the school’smen’s club volleyball team.
