Biography

2003: Burke led Yale in blocks with 76 and second in service aces with 24. She had 154 kills, recorded double-figures in kills five times, including a season-high 13 kills twice at Army (9/13) and at Princeton (10/11). She had seven blocks in a match twice.

2002: Burke finished third on the squad with 49 blocks and also contributed 141 kills and 56 digs last fall.

2001: Burke recorded double-digit kills on four occasions, including a season-high 15 at Princeton. She appeared in 93 games during her rookie season and finished second on the team in blocks (98) and third in kills with 192.

Before Yale: At Birmingham Sealhom, Burke was a three-year letterwinner and captain her senior year. Over her career she helped lead her team to conference, district and regional championships. Individually, Burke set a Michigan high school record for kills in a match (29) and earned all-state, all-region, all-conference, all-metro and all-county honors.

Personal: Lauren is the daughter of Stephen and Cindi Burke.
