2015: Appeared in four matches and missed most of the season due to injury...Had 24 digs, 17 digs and, 24 digs respectively in Yale''s first three matches of the season.
2014: Appeared in 26 matches and 82 sets...Averaged 2.05 digs per set...Had a season-high 21 digs in a 3-1 win vs. Georgetown on Sept. 20...Had 10 digs apiece in consecutive victories over Villanova and Cal State Fullerton...Had six assists and seven digs in a 3-0 win at Penn on Oct. 10...Had at least 10 digs in four matches (Yale won all four matches).
2013: Appeared in every match this season...Ranks third on the team in aces...One of five Bulldogs to record over 100 digs...Recorded season-high three aces in a match twice...Recorded a season-high 10 digs at Columbia on Oct. 19...Had eight digs in NCAA Tournament match against Pac-12''s Utah.
Off the Court:
- Volunteer with BRED, a division of Yale Hunger and Homelessness Action Project that involves bringing left over dining hall food to local homeless shelters
- Studied international relations at London School of Economics during summer 2014
- Member of Kappa Alpha Theta, a sorority at Yale that hosts charity and social events throughout the year
Before Yale: A product of Marymount High School and Sunshine Volleyball Club. She was named Most Valuable Senior and team captain for Marymount in 2012, as the team won the CIF-SS Div 1 and California Div 1 Championships. Along the way she was all-tournament at the Durango Fall Classic, first team All SoCal SCVR for VolleyballNow.Net, and one of PrepVolleyball''s top 150 Senior Aces. In addition, Marymount was Sunshine League Champions three out of her four years. As a libero at national power Sunshine Volleyball, her club teams have competed in the Open division of Junior Olympics every year since seventh grade, capturing numerous qualifier titles as well. Shepherd was also a two-time selection as one of PrepVolleyball''s Defensive Dandies, a list of the top libero/defensive players in the nation.
