Adriana Schack joined the Yale coaching staff in 2017 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Schack has had a storied career in swimming as both an athlete and coach.  She competed at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympics representing the Mexican National Swimming Team. She was also a national record holder in the 50, 100 and 200-meter breaststroke events for over a decade. 

In addition to her achievements as an athlete, Schack has a wealth of experience in coaching.  Starting off as an assistant age-group coach with Sun Devil Aquatics in Arizona, Schack moved to Illinois in 2009, where she assisted the University of Chicago swimming and diving program to a record-breaking season. She also became the head coach of the Northwestern Master’s swimming program and received the 2012 Illinois Masters Swimming Coach of the Year. At the end of 2012, Schack moved to Boston, where she led the Boston University Master’s program and became the head site coach and high performance director of Crimson Aquatics.
