Alex Mowatt-Larssen, who had been an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Yale since July of 2021, earned a new role in the spring of 2021: Director of Sport Science and Data Analytics. The new role enables Mowatt-Larssen to expand on some of the work he has already done to help Yale teams and student-athletes improve their performance.
Mowatt-Larssen first joined the Yale staff as a strength and conditioning intern in August of 2020, serving in that role until November of 2020. He then began a strength and conditioning internship at the University of Florida in January of 2021 before returning to Yale.

Prior to his internship at Yale, Mowatt-Larssen spent a year as a certified recovery specialist with Airrosti, a musculoskeletal therapy provider in Texas. He earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Cork in 2016.

Mowatt-Larssen is an NSCA certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is also certified by the American Red Cross for CPR/AED/First Aid.
