Bart George joined the Yale men’s golf coaching staff ahead of the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach.
George brings a wealth of playing experience as both an elite amateur and former professional golfer. A native of Annapolis, Md., he grew up playing at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Course before competing collegiately at Loyola University Maryland. During his time with the Greyhounds, he led the program to four consecutive conference championships and NCAA Regional appearances. George graduated in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in general business.
As an amateur, George qualified for the 2014 and 2016 U.S. Amateur Championships before turning professional. He competed on mini tours across the country and earned status on PGA TOUR Canada in 2019. While living in Jupiter, Fla., George trained under PGA TOUR coach Brian Creghan and continued to refine his game at a high level.
George regained his amateur status in 2021 and remains an active competitor. Notable performances include a third-place finish at the 2021 Middle-Atlantic Amateur and a runner-up result at the 2022 Maryland Amateur.
He brings to Yale a player-focused coaching philosophy rooted in positivity, encouragement, and attention to detail. George is especially passionate about teaching the short game and helping student-athletes reach their full potential both on and off the course.
