Brendan Fitzgerald

Brendan Fitzgerald joined the Yale men's lacrosse staff in March 2025 as Director of Operations. 

Fitzgerald comes to Yale after serving as a Special Warfare Combat Crewman (SWCC) for Naval Special Warfare since 2017. As a SWCC, he was a member of the elite maritime component of Special Operations Forces, trained to operate advanced, combat-ready vessels while navigating open ocean, riverine, and coastal regions. He was also the top graduate of one of the most physically and mentally demanding training programs in the military.
 
Fitzgerald is currently participating in the SkillBridge program to transition from military service to a civilian career. He played lacrosse under Head Coach Ben Wineburg at SUNY Brockport, where he was a team captain and a two-time All-Conference midfielder. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2017. His brother, Aidan, is an All-American and a 2024 National Champion at Adelphi University.
