Cordell Wiley joined the Yale Athletics staff in July of 2026. He is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations in Payne Whitney Gymnasium. In this role, he supports the day-to-day needs of the facility and helps oversee operations connected to Yale’s varsity men’s and women’s basketball, swimming and diving, and volleyball programs.
Prior to Yale, Wiley served as an assistant director of game operations at Florida Tech (2023–2026), coordinating the planning and execution of athletic events across multiple varsity sports. He acted as the primary liaison between campus departments and visiting teams; managed the hiring, training, scheduling, and supervision of event staff; oversaw facility and equipment operations; and supported game-day promotions.
Wiley earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management in 2022 from Keiser University, where he played football. He completed an MBA in project management at Florida Institute of Technology in 2025.
Wiley is a West Palm Beach, Fla., native. He now lives in New Haven, Conn.
