Jessica Burg joined Yale Athletics in January 2025 as an assistant director for strategic communications. In her role, she covers men’s basketball, men’s lacrosse, women’s crew, men’s swimming & diving, women’s swimming & diving, men’s tennis, and women’s tennis.
She joins Yale from Northeastern where she was an assistant director for athletic communications and served as the primary media contact for the volleyball, women's basketball, and men's rowing programs.
Prior to Northeastern, she worked as a marketing specialist at IntelliShift. While at IntelliShift, she managed and executed the company's social media accounts by posting informative content across all their accounts.
Before IntelliShift, Burg worked as an athletic communications intern at the University of Albany during the 2019-2020 academic year where she was the primary media contact for the men's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, softball and women's golf programs. She also assisted with social media efforts for the football program.
Burg also served as an athletic communications assistant at Stony Brook University working as the primary media contact for the volleyball, cross country/track and field, women's tennis and softball programs. She also helped with gameday operations for the football program.
Burg graduated from SUNY Cortland in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. She is originally from Commack, New York.
