Keith Miller, who spent 27 years as Harvard’s men’s and women’s diving coach, joined Jim Henry’s staff as a volunteer diving coach in the fall of 2019.
 
During his tenure with the Crimson, Miller guided divers to tremendous success. Fifteen won Ivy Championships, and many more were Ivy finalists (top-8). He also mentored four divers who qualified for the NCAA Championship, including Mike Mosca ’14, who also was just the third diver in Ivy League history to sweep the 1- and 3-meter at three consecutive Ivy League Championships. In addition, Mosca was a finalist in three events at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials and finished 13th at the 2014 NCAA Championships on 3-meter. Miller also mentored Jing Leung ’18, who became the first Harvard first team All-America diver since 1992 when she finished eighth on the platform in 2016.
 
In addition to his work with Harvard's programs, Miller also has significant experience at the national and international levels. He was selected to coach at the 1994 and 1995 United States Olympic Festivals and was a member of the U.S. National Team staff from 1995-97.
 
Miller coached the national team in Vienna and Rome in 1995 and traveled with the team to Torneo de Clavados in Mexico in 1996, to the World University Games in 1997, and to the Canada Cup in 1999.
 
Prior to his appointment at Harvard, Miller was the diving coach at Wesleyan University (Conn.), UC-San Diego, Tufts University and MIT. He began his coaching career as an assistant to coach John Walker, Harvard Diving Coach, 1972-88.
 
Miller is a 1982 graduate of Tufts University with a degree in Spanish literature. He is currently working at Common Vision, a residential construction company in Hamden, Conn. His wife, Agnes, is the diving coach at Brown, and he has three children, Freddi, Tommy and Danny.
