Kristen O'Neill

Kristen O'Neill joined the Yale field hockey staff as assistantcoach in the fall of 2013.

Prior to coming to New Haven, O’Neill had been at theUniversity of Maine since 2009. She earned her Master of Educationin student development in higher education there in 2011, and mostrecently served as Senior Academic and Career Exploration Advisor.She also spent time working in the university’s careercenter, and was an Academic Support Graduate Intern for theathletic department. She is on Maine’s Athletic AdvisoryBoard, and is a member of the National Academic AdvisingAssociation.

Prior to her most recent stint at Maine, O’Neill wasassistant field hockey coach at Saint Francis University inLoretto, Pa., from the fall of 2008 until the spring of 2009 as sheworked on a Master of Education in educational leadership.

O’Neill received her B.S. in child development and familyrelations from Maine in 2008. She played field hockey for the BlackBears from 2003 through 2007, serving as co-captain in her senioryear.

O’Neill’s husband, Terry, is an assistant strengthand conditioning coach at Yale.
